new birth control. neeed help asap. -

i just went to the doctor today and got a prescription for a birth control. and i dont know when to start taking it. i just had my period two weeks ago, so do i wait to take it until my period comes? or do i take it now? when exactly do i start taking it? im so confused. too many types, too many directions.

Why don't you try to go back to your doctor?
 mmmmp. not so sure but i guess she/he could give you the answer to your questions. Besides, seeking a professional is the best way to ease your worries.

Or, alternatively, you can check what the birth control has to say - there must be something written on the package, right?

If this is your first time taking birth control, you wait until the Sunday after your next period. So, if you start your period say on a Friday, you start it that Sunday. But, if you've taken birth control before, you can start it now.

Ummm I'm not sure what type your taking and if it differs to mine but I have just started taking the pill and I was informed by both my doctor and the pharmacist that you should start taking it between the first and fifth day of your period. start on an active one conducive to the date you start (and do not have sex without protection for 7 days)

I think you should go back to the doctor and check, or take a look at the packaging. Even do a Google search on the type of BC you have
