No Period... -
August 3rd 2011, 08:41 AM
Alright, so I've never had sex, ever, and I haven't had my period in a little less than a year...I don't know what could be causing it, and I haven't done anything that I think could have triggered it...
Help?

Alot of things can lead to you not having your period, physically & mentally. I suggest going to your doctor or gynecologist.

I agree completely with Katie. I wonder why you have waited that long to address the matter. A girl's period may stop as a result not only of pregnancy, but of an illness or an eating disorder as well. For example, girls suffering from anorexia at some point notice that their period has stopped. On the other hand, there might be nothing wrong with you. But in any case it's vital that you consult your doctor.
Good luck and keep us posted! |

Hey, Maya. You should see a doctor, obviously :P
I missed my period for about a year and went to the doctor. He did not seem concerned, but put me on birth control. Now I have regular periods. Sometimes your body doesn't provide enough hormones, or you could be stressed, or it could be something medically wrong. Usually, it is nothing to be too concerned about, but you do need to have your period. Best of luck darling. -Kelly So you have gray hair and you're only 26
that's just another reason I love you... ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Hey
![]() Well firstly, if you've not been having your periods for long, then it could just be them regulating themselves. However, if you've been having them regularly for a while, and THEN they stopped, it could possibly be a cause for concern. The most common causes of a missed period (asides from pregnancy of course,) are stress or a sudden change in weight (whether you've lost a lot or gained a lot.) If you're worried, visit the doctors and they should be able to sort you out ![]() Good luck <3 LiveHelpOperator|TalentCommittee RIP Grandad xxx |

Thanks everyone! And I only had like 2 or 3 periods before they stopped...So I didn't have them for very long. And I've told my mom, and she said it's because they're just trying to regulate and everything...

Hi there
Periods can be very irregular when they first start, and some people will never have regular periods. If you are worried at all, the best thing for you to do would be to visit your doctor and they should be able to check that all is going how it should be, and hopefully put your mind at rest. In the meantime, try not to stress too much over it as that can delay them as well. Take care. |
