Anal Sex + Medical Problems - August 18th 2011, 02:45 PM

This thread has been labeled as non-PG13 by the original poster or by a Moderator. The contents of this thread might therefore not be suitable for younger users. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

My boyfriend is interested to try it out, just to see what it's like and I'm pretty willing to try most things however, I have a couple of issues:

I suffer from chronic constipation due to slow transit of the bowel - basically the nerves to my colon aren't very sensitive and thus, faecal matter moves more slowly. I take laxitives daily but again, my bowel movements are pretty infrequent.
I also have been diagnosed with slight rectal prolapse and possible rectocele.

My boyfriend knows about this but doesn't seem to be too worried about it. (I guess because he won't be the one who is risking faecal incontinence)

What are people's general opinions/ideas/thoughts?

Is it safe for you to have anal sex with the rectal prolapse? D:

I'm not sure, it's only slight...

I'm not entirely sure this would be safe for you to try unless you speak to your doctor about it. It might be embarrassing to talk about, but getting their okay might be the best thing to do before you try this.

how would I go about asking? I mean, isn't it generally frowned upon by most doctors?

I wouldn't say that it's frowned upon, but explain to them that you've talked this over with your boyfriend and you want to know if it'd be okay if you tried anal sex despite all the medical issues. If they don't think it's a good idea, don't do it. If they give you the okay, go for it.

My boyfriend and I looked up some medical journals and it doesn't sound like a great idea

So he decided it's not worth the risk

Considering anal sex runs the risk of causing complete anal prolapse....doing it when you're already a tiny bit there...just no
I wouldn't advise it.

Anal sex will exacerbate any rectal prolapse you may already have, possibly causing a complete prolapse. I would not advise having anal sex with your rectal health problems.
