Okay so my boyfriend and I had sex for the first time the other night.

The last time I had sex before that was 2.5 years ago. (Yes, I know. ) It was with this horrible guy who pretty much raped me every time and it completely put me off sex altogether. Hence why I haven't been in any rush to do it since.

ANYWAYS, back to the other night...

Basically, once he finally got it in, it hurt for a bit. Then it started to feel... weird. It was a sensation that is difficult to describe. It was almost like it had the potential to feel nice, but didn't.

So I'm just wondering, will it get better? Or should I just give up now and join a nunnery?

I believe that sex gets better with time, and practice. It's been a while since you've had sex, which could cause some discomfort for you when it comes to the actual intercourse. And, the guy didn't sound to appeasing either.

But, you've found a great guy, and as long as you keep at it (), sex will get better for you. Don't fret if you begin to realize you haven't been able to orgasm though. Many woman go their entire life without experiencing an orgasm through intercourse alone, and many others go their life without even experiencing one to begin with. Try lots of foreplay before hand, and see if the passion comes out

Yes, especially when you're with one guy for a very long time. You get a long time to be able to figure out what each other like, and be able to get to know the body, and basically get comfortable with each other. I'm not at all self conscious around my boyfriend anymore, because after a while with one person, you just get used to them seeing you in a different light.

I think in your situation, the guy also makes a big difference because your previous case does not sound like the best. I'm so sorry your first times weren't the best, and I hope you and your current boyfriend can help you have the best sexual experience possible!

Omg yes! I was kind of in the same situation as you. My ex was super rough and it NEVER felt goodm then afteer we broke up I had sex with one of my friends, and now we've been dating for more than a year.
