Being slapped during sex?

I've never had sex, but the idea of being slapped a lot during sex appeals to me. Does this indicate something wrong with my self-esteem? I have had very low self-esteem in the past, and have cut myself before because of it, and I'm just worried that this could be indicative of me still having low self esteem. Any ideas? ETA: Perhaps I should add that I want to be slapped in the face, not anywhere else...

Personally, I don't think it has anything to do with self esteem. Different things turn different people on. As long as it's consensual slapping, meaning you have given the person permission to get a little rough, the idea doesn't sound to bad to me either. I let my boyfriend get rough with me as well, it's all in fun. It's not because you don't like yourself, it's just the idea of being roughhoused with that turns you on, so I wouldn't worry about it.

I think that goes with the being dominated in the room concept. Some people just like being more rough. Doesn't make it weird or unusual.

Nothing to do with self-esteem. My boyfriend and I have gotten THAT rough in the bedroom before, and I have very high self-esteem. It took me a while to get there, but I have it and there is nothing wrong with it if it's discussed before hand.

If you don't otherwise notice anything wrong with your self-esteem, this doesn't mean there's anything wrong with you. A lot of people like to be hurt during sex, and it looks like you're one of them. Being slapped in the face probably isn't something a lot of people would enjoy, but there's nothing wrong with the fact that you do.

Nah, there's nothing wrong with it. We all have different fetishes and are aroused by things during sex, and slapping may be one of them, it could be other things. Either way whatever it is, it doesn't make you weird so don't worry.
