"I started my periods today  "(Oh congrats honny, what do you need... blah blah) 2 hours later "OH THE PAIN!!!! I CAN'T EVEN WALK WITHOUT HUNCHING!!!" THIS is a period :P  |

I'm sorry you're being teased about your period not coming. But to be perfectly honest, it's nobody elses business, except yours. I would refrain from talking to people about your period unless you feel you can really trust them. If people ask, just say you started. I don't advise lying, but if it stops the teasing, then it's necessary. Or you can kindly tell everyone that it's really not their business.
But everyone here is right. It's completely normal not to have a period right now. It definitely does not define who you are and the type of person you are. So by no means are you childish, as periods don't really affect who you are. I really wouldn't get too caught up in wanting a period and wanting it to come. It's not worth it. It will come when it's supposed to. Nothing you can do to stop or speed up the process. Plus, you'd be tampering with mother nature, which never turns out well. Just ride it out. However, if it's still a major concern for you, then call and talk to your doctor. They can tell you if you're on the right track for puberty and what not. And don't worry about the baby thing. By the time you're mentally/emotionally/physically ready for a child, your period will come.
