Painfull Vaginal Opening. - September 12th 2011, 05:08 PM

Hey guys-
Sorry if this goes into a little too much detail but im really confused!
(Iv'e got a doctors appointment in the next few days- im just unsure as what it could be so looking for some opinions)

Basically what iv'e noticed in the past four/five days or so is a real sort of irratation around my vagina (im talking just about the vaginal hole, not the lips, vulva or anything else) i have no odour, discharge or itching or anything like that, and i have been checked out for sti's.
When i was inserting a tampon, when it first went in the vagina is was really painfull, like at the sides. once i inserted it and it was in place it was totally fine, but again, when i took it out, and it passed the opening, it was very painful. A day or so later when i was having foreplay it was the same. My bf's finger was inserted slowly but it was really sore when it went past the opening, once it was inside, again totally fine. but everytime something touches the wall at the opening its really sore.!
Iv'e tried to have a look, but i cant see any redness or anything down there.
Any body got any ideas of what this could be? or what my to tell my doctor? thanks very much guys. x

Oh dear, it sounds like something internally is causing you to be much more sensitive than normal. There is long list of things I could suggest that are the problem but most people here, including myself , are not medically inclined and would not know exactly what do tell you.

Its great news that you're going to the doctors to find out. Just try to limit as much contact as possible and make sure you keep yourself clean in case its an infection that is causing you problems.

It could be something as simple as a yeast infection or as complex as a genetic problem that effects you. The best thing to do is remain calm and tell your doctor everything they need to know to help you. Please do let us know how it goes and if you have any other questions or concerns, don't be shy to PM me if you'd like. Good luck sweetheart.

Maybe it could be sensitve if you are close to your period? Other than I'm not a medical professional so I'm not sure. It's good that you are going to the doctor, make sure that you mention this to them, especially if they do the an exam becuase it may hurt since you are sore right now.

It could be some sort of irritation, maybe from having sex or using tampons. Try sitting in front of a mirror, legs spread and examining yourself. I've done this several times if I noticed I'm a bit more sensitive down there, more so than usual or if I feel any sort of pains or strange bumps. If you notice any redness, it might be some irritation that could be caused by a number of things. If it doesn't go away, make sure you report the pain to your doctor so they could figure out the true cause of the problem.

Do you think it could be from sexual activity? I know that's happened to me. Like the same situation, where it hurt too much to use tampons. But for me, it's because of rough sex, so I had either irritation or I've even gotten cuts right on the inside.
