Question Birth control & Bleeding ? - November 9th 2011, 04:50 PM

Okay so I've been on the birth control pill for about 2 months now and I know that it causes irregular periods and spotting between periods but I wanted to know , Is it normal for you to bleed extremely heavily one day and then the next not be bleeding at all ?? Yesterday on my way to the bus stop I felt kinda wet so I looked down and noticed that I had blood all over the front of my pants . I went home , put a pad and I was bleeding all day . Then this morning I wake up at 5 and I'm not bleeding at all anymore . It's about to be 1 in the afternoon and i still haven't bled not even a tiny bit , not even spotting . Is this normal ? I'm kind of nervous . Thanks for the help guys

It sounds pretty normal, but I would talk to your doctor about this to be sure. I know most of us are on birth control pills, but I've never experienced bleeding heavily one day, and completely stopping the next. I would contact your doctor just to be on the safe side.

Yes, that's very normal.
I was on diplovera birth control (the shot) for a year and a half, and believe it or not, I was on my period every-single-day for the entire time. I suffered no other side effects, and my doctor saw no real problem.
You're definitely fine
