Worried/need answers -
December 20th 2011, 06:49 PM
Okay, so I did something stupid. I had unprotected sex last night. My boyfriend pulled out before he came. I just ended my period, and I started birth control (loestrin 24fe) one week ago. Does the pill stop ovulation right away? I am scheduled to ovulate in 5 days, and I know sperm lives a few days. I am scared that i could become pregnant.
I know that I should wear a condom every time and that I should take a preg test in a few weeks to make sure, but I just want some feedback about the whole situation. You gotta learn to live, laugh, and love. Especially live, even though sometimes it's the hardest thing to do.

I would go get the morning after pill as soon as you can. I think it takes a while for the pill to work, but don't take my word for that. I would definitely get a pregnancy test just to make sure. And always use condoms, its better to be safe than sorry.

Keep taking your pill properly, you're most likely not pregnant.

I doubt that you are pregnant. However I also agree with Nicole, pregnancy test is a must!
It seems like you learned from the scare of this situation so hopefully you use the protection needed next time around. Best wishes, Chris Chris Jackson

Nicole is completely right you should buy some of those pills if you don't already have them and take some. She is also right about the pregnancy test, you should take one every day for a few days and monitor what it says. If you are pregnant, many women in this situation may have an abortion. If you do not want that and you are pregnant you could put he or she up for adoption when born. Although you are probably not pregnant I would take those pills to stay on the safe side. Next time, unless you want to get pregnant, have him wear a condom it's the safest choice.

I would agree with everyone else take a pregnancy test at least in a week or two to be sure and get the plan b--or morning after pill. Go to your doctor and explain to her your problem. She's more than likely going to be able to answer your question if it could happen or not.

As the others said, you should be completely fine & try to get a hold of the Morning After Pill as soon as possible. You only have a very small window of 72 hours to take it, and the sooner you take it, the better.
