I don't know how old you are hun but stress and hormones can affect the regularity of your periods. Some people, like myself, are naturally irregular. If you have any concerns about it, you may want to talk with your doctor. Birth control can help make your periods regular, so you may want to look into that.

Periods are not so exact that you will get them on the exact same day every month, it will always vary a bit. How long you've been getting periods effects this too, it usually takes about 2 years for your period to regulate itself a bit.
The pain you are mentioning is probably cramps, which is normal. Birth control can help this a lot, but if you don't want to take it then I would just take something like advil. Thats what I do if I get cramps and it usually helps. So does taking a warm shower. The fact you are a busy student could be adding stress which could be making your periods late. Really, I wouldn't worry about it, but if it is worrying you then you could go see a doctor about it. ![]() Buddy|Live Help Operator|HelpLink Mentor|Social Networking Team Relationships&Dating Mod|Lifestyle Mod|Media&Entertainment Mod Performance Committee |

As Nicole said, periods aren't exact, no matter how regular someone is. I'm on birth control, so I'm always 'forewarned' when I'm going to get my period, but it never starts on the same day it did the month before.
Since you mentioned you're a busy student, stress could be causing your periods to come a little later than what you're normally used too. This is natural. Periods aren't meant to come on the same day every month, but stress is most likely the cause. |
