Hey!
Okay so this is kind of embarrassing for me but here goes... ![]() I'm 18 years old and have tried to masturbate without any toys but I'm starting to find it boring...I was wondering if any of you have tried any sex toys and which ones did you find best? ![]() I'm a little shy when it comes to stuff like this and would be unable to let my parents know that I own a sex toy if I bought one...Are they worth buying? I would have to go out and buy one without anyone knowing and would be very shy in the shop when purchasing it ![]() Any advice would be appreciated! xx |

I was embarrassed the first time I bought a sex toy, and had someone else buy it for me. But, honestly, it isn't that bad. I now own 3 sex toy, and they were definitely worth buying.
It is all about trial and error. Different shops sell different toys, so it's kind of hard to say which ones are best in case that shop doesn't carry the one I've found most appeasing. However, ones with more than one speed are definitely a fun try (shakes things up a bit, if you know what I mean). If you're worried about your parents finding out, just hide the toy and use it when they aren't home or they're sleeping (but use the lowest setting if they are still in the house so it wouldn't be loud or obvious that vibrating is coming from your room). Really, it isn't that bad to go out there and buy one. Nobody is going to judge you, and the people in the store have people coming in there every day and purchasing toys all the time. It's really no big deal. |

A vibrator is definately a good choice. I love using them. Don't be shy about getting anything either, especially seeing as you're an adult now.

Thank you both for replying
Your advice has helped me. I was just unsure about how people would react to me buying a toy in a shop as I wouldn't want to bump into anyone that I know whilst in there lol xx

Go to an actual sex toy shop. They have a larger selection anyway, and you'll have less chance of actually running into someone you know. You can go to Lover's Lane, where they sell lingerie on top of sex toys. Or, you could try "porn" stores. :P

You can purchase them online too if you have your own debit card/credit card. They come in discreet packaging, so your parents would never know...unless of course they open the package!

I buy mine online
On my card when I get sent statements it just shows up as "LH trading" or something similar. The companies tend to keep it discreet for your privacy

Then purchase them in store if you're worried about your mom seeing it. However, as said, it wouldn't come up on billing history. It would come up as something different. It wouldn't say "Sex Toy for $19.99" on there. :P

Buy one online when it's near to someone in your houses birthday and tell them it is a surprise, they will think it's a birthday present and won't open any packages x hope this helps! X

If there's a chain near you like Ann Summers, look on their website first, choose what you want there. Then draw out the money from a cash machine, go in to the shop, go t exactly what you want, buy it with the cash and get out of there. That's what I did
then you don't feel awkward hanging around the shop, and nothing will come up on your card. Sex toys are definitly worth having. Though I can't orgasm without one now :/ ...

If you don't want your parents to find out, and it would be easier to not buy a sex toy, try a bathtub faucet! Seriously... Lol

Ok, as a guy, I can say I was embarrassed when i bought my first sex toy (both for myself and my partner). But I can say that the store owners are usually very nice and helpful. I have never had a sex shop harass me. They WANT to have your business, they are not going to scare you off :P Alot of them will be able to tell that you are new and shy about this and will ask you questions and help you with buying something. The only thing they will really ask is what are you looking for, what do you intend to use it for (Inside, outside, masturbation, foreplay, ext.) and they HAVE to check if you are over the age of 18, by law. A simple state ID will work. They get many customers and many first timers and many casual people.
So don't worry about buying it in a shop. I find it better because they will allow you to take it out of the box and try it in the shop (on your hand...not your tender parts :P ) So even though lots of companies will say "amazing", "blow your mind" etc. you can test them out and find one the is strong or interesting enough for you. "One of the things I regret the most of being able to imagine anything,
is having to fear nothing" "Realty is a lot more malleable then most people think. They just refuse to believe that they can do anything about it." Sex toys were my best investment and now I have like five lol. I can't get off from fingering and sex so they are essential for me. But I started buying them when I was 17. But yeah, fingering is super boring in my opinion at least when I do it to myself. So yes they are soooo worth it!

I'm sure this has been said but I wanted to add this in. I use a really amazing site called LoveHoney (am I allowed to mention that?
) which has free delivery and really good prices. They also package everything discreetly in brown boxes/packages and the only thing to mention the company is the return address which says "LH trading" so there's really no way for anyone to know what it is.Only problem is when it's accidentally delivered to your neighbour so your parents almost open it and you have to rip it off them and say it's DVDs.
