two important questions I need to know answers to.

me and my fiance just for fun decided to use a ovulation calculator. I don't know how accurate they are, but I've heard of people using them and got pregnant on the day the calculator answer said. well my ovulation date is today, and I guess my fiance forgot the answer predicted, and we ended up having sex at 4:30 this morning although we agreed not to have sex, because we don't know how accurate the calculator is, but We were both so horny and lost control. All we did was doggy style. Does it matter what sex position you are in to get pregnant? because I got a strong gut feeling we might have screwed up last night :/

Yes, you can get pregnant from doggy style. Have you been using any kind of contraceptives, or just relying on calculating your cycle?

It doesn't matter what position you have sex in, you can still get pregnant if you didn't take the proper precautions, such as using a type of birth control, whether it be the pill or a condom.

what do you by contraceptives? like birth control? No I haven't used birth control in two years. well my doctor told me when me and my fiance decided to get pregnant to use webMD calculator or by a predictor from the store. but since it the advice came from my doctor, we decided to check it out so we can know days not to have sex so I wouldn't get pregnant. and plus two of my friends did the web md calculator and got pregrent because they wanted a kid.

Contraceptive = birth control. That doesn't necessarily mean the pill. If you don't want to become pregnant, you REALLY should use a condom. They are just as effective as birth control when they are used correctly. That will help make sure that something like this doesn't happen again. If you're worried that you might have gotten pregnant, wait two weeks and take a home pregnancy test, or visit your doctor to have a pregnancy test done. Only after two weeks will you get an accurate result. Anything before then will lead to a false positive or negative, which won't be your mind at ease.

If this happened when you say, you still have time to get emergency contraceptive (plan B). I would strongly recommend it. It does not matter what position you have sex in, no matter what, and in no way does doing it in a shower or pool do anything either. Pregnancy is always possible, especially when you are ovulating. Also, using an ovulating machine is NOT a form of birth control. You can still get pregnant when you are not ovulating, those are meant for women trying to get pregnant and are having trouble, but if you are fertile, it can happen whenever. I would strongly recommend you use condoms, they are fabulous, and VERY effective if used correctly.
