Tampons won't stay in? - February 5th 2012, 11:18 PM

So um, exactly as the title says they won't stay in i have to keep pushing them back, which is the last thing i want to be doing every 10-20 minutes. Especially in class when it causes a lot of stabbing pain because it's half way out.

Kinda gross but what do I do? I never had this problem before...

How far are you putting them in? Read the directions and make sure you're using them correctly. Or try a differnet brand, something smaller maybe. If it ends up hurting you maybe try using pads.

You might be using the wrong size. Try the next size up, or try changing brands. I've never heard of this before, so I'm not really sure what you should do.

Push them all the way in to where you cannot feel them. Also, do as Shannon suggested & check the size. The directions should be able to say which size is best for you.

Push it all the way until the ridge around the applicator keeps it from going in any more, and then push the part sticking out to push it all the way in.
It will hurt if you don't put it in far enough. Just make sure you're putting it in as far as you can, and it will be held in place.

This has never happened to me before, so I'm not completely sure, but I do know that if if the tampon is uncomfortable whatsoever, either you haven't put it in correctly or you've got the wrong size.

Maybe you aren't putting them in at the proper angle? I know a few times when I put one in quick, I don't do a nice angle and it's either half out, hurting, or both. Normally if you can clearly feel it in, definitely when you walk or move around, it is in wrong. I know it can get awkward and annoying, put sometimes you need to try a few times and figure out how to put it in properly. Sometimes using new brands, you need to do this :/

It might be the brand itself too. I know there's this one cheap brand my mom use to buy that could never fit comfortably in. Maybe try switching brands and see if that helps.

Sometimes all you need to do is sprinkle a little glitter on someone's raincloud to blend them a rainbow.

I started my period years ago, at least 3. I know how to put them in and yes they're far enough. I think it could be the size

Are you using applicators or just push in ones? When I'm at uni in Aus I can only ever find push in ones and they're awful at staying in. Applicator ones tend to stay in better ... I'd go for a smaller size if they're coming out as well, you may need to change them more often but it's better than pushing them in every10-20 mins

Like other people have said, try different sizes. It could be too small or it could be too big, but you shouldn't be able to feel it at all if it's in right.
