PLEASE HELP am I pregnant -
November 14th 2012, 08:03 PM
Okay please respond to this as best as you can because im really freaked out. I'm counting on y'all.
So me and my boyfriend had sex on October 6th and we used a condom. It was both of our first times. I got my period the next day and it lasted for my usual 4 or 5 days so I figured I was in the clear, but now I'm not so sure. I googled it and it said there's still a chance I could be pregnant. My period isnt very regular to begin with, but I never kept track of exactly how irregular because I wasn't having sex. If it were exactly regular it would've started 7 days ago so I'm considering myself 7 days late. All day for the past 2 or 3 days I've been having cramps in my lower back exactly like I get from my period, but they dissipate when I sit or lay down and there hasn't been any spotting. I'm very stressed out about it so that may be a factor as to why it's not coming but I'm not sure. Please give me your opinions and let me know what's the latest any of your periods have been? Im very worried.

Calm down, take a pregnancy test or two, if they come out positive, go to your doctor. If they come out negative, then you're not pregnant and have nothing to worry about.
Sorry I couldn't be there, I was tied to a rocking chair.

It's very, very unlikely that you are pregnant. Since you had your period the day after, the menstruation would have affected the potentially leaked semen's ability to make its way around. Having sex can delay your period because of the hormonal changes that go with it. No worries!

Oh, for sure, stress can do it. I think a lot of girls get "pregnancy" scares. I know that when I'm sexually active, I always beg for my period to come and worry if it's a little late. You'll be fine!

I think that the chances of pregnancy are low because you had your period so quickly after the sex. It wasn't likely that there was an egg available to be fertilized plus you guys used a condom. I know condoms aren't 100% fool proof but still, they're pretty good. BUT it is possible (on a very very low chance) that another egg had already descended and if the condom didn't work, but that is quite an unlikely scenario I wouldn't lose to much sleep over it. Stress can really mess up your period, so can your first time, I know the first month after I had my period it was late and I panicked and thought maybe I was pregnant, which I wasn't. If you need to calm your fears you can buy a pregnancy test, it's over the counter for everyone (in Canada), at least I wasn't asked for my age when I went. So if that'll help, you can do that, but I'd imagine you're going to get your period soon.
