Pregnant?

Hey everybody.

Im 15 years old and recently had sex for the first time about a week ago. Unfortunately it was unprotected and he didnt pull out. One night stand. My period is due around this week (fairly irregular) but I havent been getting any of the usual signs.

I dont know if im pregnant or not and im really worried. I know nothing about pregnancy and syptoms and I really dont know what to do. My appetite has been all over the place and my sleeping routine has gone haywire, I wake up at around 5am every morning and I have no desire to eat at all, i usualy eat everything.

I dont know if this is happening to me because i might be depressed, over stressed or because im withdrawing from marijuanna. I really dont know what to think or what to do with myself. Is waiting and praying for my period the only thing I can do?

Re: Pregnant?

Many things can cause your period to be late and if it is irregular like you say, then it can be hard to pinpoint when it will actually be due. I would give it another week and then consider shopping for a pregnancy test. Look at what day the test recommends you test. Follow the instructions closely for the most accurate results. Testing too early may give a false negative.

The symptoms you're describing are more likely stress.

I would also consider asking to be tested for STIs due to the unprotected sex. Even if the guy promised he was clean, it is important to be tested as untreated STIs can lead to infertility.

As easy as it is to just say, there isn't any point in worrying about it now. The best thing you can do is wait 14 days since the unprotected sex and take a pregnancy test. Don't let the symptoms worry you until you know for sure because your period could be delayed from a number of different things, so there's no point in waiting around for that to be the answer.

If you are pregnant, then you can cross that bridge when you come to it. But if you're not, let it be a lesson to you. You should always use atleast one form of birth control if you don't want a child yet. You should also use a condom anyway because it's the only way to protect from STI's.

Take the pregnancy test, it's the only way to know.
