Exclamation So kinda freaked out. - October 18th 2015, 03:02 AM

Hi, so my bf and I have unprotected sex every now and then, but he pulls out before me cums inside me, he's done this lots of times before with other gf's before me too and none of them ever got pregnant so he knows what he's doing.
Last month, he came inside me because I had the morning after pill so I figured he might as well, then I took the pill I forgot what kind it was, and it worked at preventing pregnancy but I felt dizziness and got my period 4 days earlier than expected.
So this month, it was supposed to come on the 9th and it didn't, or maybe because of the pill messing it up it would be expected like going back to regular which would have been the 14th, but it still hasn't come and it's almost the 18th, I took a pregnany test First Response early result which is apparently the most accurate and sensitive pregnancy test you can take, one line showed up which means not pregnant I followed the sintructions exactly to a t, and it says I'm not pregnant so that should be accurate, right? I'm thinking maybe stress or maybe the pill messed up this period too even though it's been over a month since I took that pill you'd think it would be out of my system by now. But I've been having cramps, like menstrual cramps not bad ones, and dizziness every single day it seems off and on I don't know why, I felt like that last month too before my period came, early.
But my period is late, I still am getting cramps, and dizziness, but no period. Do you think I should be worried about being pregnant or that test is enough to indicate I'm not and worrying about nothing?

Hi there,

Just be aware that anytime you have unprotected sex, whether he pulls out or not, there is a risk for pregnancy.

Did you have unprotected sex again after you took the morning after pill that time last month? The pill probably did mess up your cycle, but you have had a period since then so pregnancy would have occurred after that incident. Has it been two weeks since you've had sex? That's when you'll get the most accurate result on a pregnancy test.

It sounds like you're having symptoms for getting your period. It might just be late due to stress. I'd take it easy for a couple more days or a week, and if you still don't get your period you should retest or see a doctor for your concerns.

Take care.

There is no beauty without some strangeness.

I've heard that the morning after pill can mess with your period for a while. I don't know how long but this would be your second period after taking it so it's possible that is all it is.

If you haven't had unprotected sex after the time your boyfriend came inside of you then it's likely that the test was accurate. If you have had unprotected sex since then you need to wait two weeks from the last time you had unprotected sex to take a test.

Also, having unprotected sex increases your chances of getting pregnant. Just because you boyfriend pulls out doesn't mean you can't get pregnant and just because he did that with other girls and didn't have anything happen doesn't mean you can't get pregnant. My brother and his wife got pregnant by doing the pull out method.

If you want to have unprotected sex get on a form of birth control. It will decrease your chances greatly although, personally, I won't have unprotected sex with my boyfriend until we are more financially stable and married. I am on birth control but I use condoms too because I want to be as safe as possible.

Also, going unprotected increases your chances of getting an std. If you are going to continue having unprotected sex you and your boyfriend should get routine STD tests.

The best thing to do I think is speak to a doctor or nurse about it and do a pregnancy test to see the result.

I know the pill does have side effects so that is the likely cause. As you had a period afterwards I think it is extremely unlikely that you are pregnant.

Take care
