I'm pregnant...

I found out yesterday that I'm 3 weeks pregnant.

I made some bad decisions recently, & now I'm knocked up.

Have you looked into the options available to you and considered what you want to do? I think, that is probably one of the biggest things you need to work out before moving forward. If there are people in your life that you can open up to about this and not be judged then you might want to do that.

Hi Crystal,

I definitely understand that being pregnant, especially with being such a young age. As mentioned above, you need to look at all your options.

Did you go see your doctor yet to get a blood test done to make sure that the pregnancy test was 100% accurate? If not, I highly recommend going to do that ASAP.

With what you say to that question it will help direct my advice a bit more, so I will check back to see if you replied :)

Stay Strong,
Brittany

Thank you for sharing.

It happens. You're not the first to have this happen.

It's happened before, and people choose to go both ways, and either way they choose, it turns out OK.

It turns out best if it's your choice what you do now.

A lot of people will have their own personal opinions, and they may try to persuade you one way or another.

The best choice is your choice. Look inward to your feelings, and know either way you choose, it will be OK.

We're here to support you.

Hi Crystal, I would suggest going to the doctor and getting bloodwork done to make absolutely sure you are pregnant before you begin to worry. If you are, then I suggest reaching out to a trusted friend for support during this time if you don't think your family will be supportive. Also, make sure you research all your options and fully understand what it means. Talk to a counselor or a friend who has gone through the same thing, such as parenthood at a young age.

No matter what the results are and the decision you ultimately come to, we are here for you.

I am glad that you went to the doctor. You can now work on trying to figure out what options you have available and want to consider. Do you have support from the father or from your family and friends?

Re: I'm pregnant...

I was also 15 when I found out I was pregnant. I ended up deciding to keep my baby and she is now 7 months old. I absolutely love being a Mom but it is the hardest thing I've ever done and I wouldn't even be able to manage it all without the huge amount of help I get from my Grandma. So if you think you would have a good support system then it wouldn't be bad if you want to consider keeping the baby as one of your options. If you ever want someone to talk to your welcome to message me anytime.

Re: I'm pregnant...

The situation you are in could very well go a few different ways. Being pregnant is a wonderful thing and an amazing thing to go through as a women. Yes your young, there are a bunch of teen moms out there, most get by with the help of family, friends.

You have lots of options because you are only 3 weeks, it is pretty early, and you have the time to figure out what you want to do.
Adoption, abortion, keeping the baby. It's a hard choice to make, weather you are young or not.
You also need to know that it is no ones choice but your own, sure people can give you advice, but you make your own choice based on what you want, your future, you life.

I wasn't a teen mom, I was 21 when I got pregnant, telling family and friends no matter how the age it's difficult. Seek a friend, weather they are family or not, someone you can talk to, when I got pregnant my mom was the first to know, I was scared, I didn't know what to do, yes she was mad at first, most parents are. But they get over it, or most do.

It's a choice that won't be easy, or maybe it will be for you. Just know you can come to me if you want to talk, I'm pretty highly educated with pregnancy stuff and family when it comes to it.

If you want to talk, message me. I'm here to talk, and be a friend.

I'm struggling so much.

My dad is offering little to no support.

Re: I'm pregnant...

It's important to reach out to those around you during this time. I am sorry your dad isn't being very supportive. How about your mother or another relative? Have you sought all the alternatives regarding this pregnancy? Are there any friends or people you know who have been through the same thing as you, parenthood at a young age? Reach out to them if you can.

This issue will have to be approached very seriously. Do not try to make sudden movements. In your hands, human life.

Re: I'm pregnant...

My mom, my 17 year old sister Lindsey, & my 12 year old brother Jason are trying to support me.

My dad, however, is offering little to no support.

He's called me horrible names, yells at me, & says that all of my bad sexual experiences are my fault (most of them aren't. I've been forced to do some degrading sexual stuff).

Why is my dad being such an asshole? I'm severely depressed over this.

Re: I'm pregnant...

Crystal, my father didn't take the news that I was pregnant well either, A lot of fathers of young girls don't specially pregnant at a young age.
Give your father some time, he will get over it. Specially if you decide to keep the baby, he will get over it, he will be a grandfather and soon enough he will accept it, sometimes it just takes time.

When are you supposed to be going to get your ultrasound to see the viability?
