Exclamation Really? - January 25th 2010, 08:00 PM

OK, i haven't been on in a while, but thought it would be good to try to get some advice on my current situation. Last Friday night (3 days ago tonight), I had sex for the first time (ever) with my girlfriend and, just my luck, the condom broke, and I did ejaculate a little inside her before I pulled out (not knowing it was broken until afterwards). Now we're both really worried that she might be pregnant, which would be even worse than if I got another girl pregnant because my girlfriend is my best friend's 14 year old sister (both my friend and I are 16) and both my family and her family have a really good relationship, and I can't imagine me impregnating her would do anything good for that. I'm planning on picking up some pregnancy tests this week and getting them to her this weekend, but we're both worried sick about this and I was just wondering if anyone had some advice I could use.

Well it's still too early for a home test to show anything..
So wait about two weeks before testing.
Next time this happens get her the morning after pill right away.

Hey there,

I know this must be a very scary situation. However, try to relax; there is nothing you can do until it's time to take the test, worrying isn't going to help anything. Your girlfriend cannot take a home test until two weeks after you've had sex; however, she could go to the doctor and take a blood test after five days.

Take care, and good luck. If you need to talk about anything, feel free to PM me.

I know this situation is scary, but try to stay calm. If your girlfriend stresses out too much, that is another way to delay her period. Like the others have said, you need to wait at least two weeks to take a home pregnancy test or you could go to the doctor after five days.

Try and stay calm until she can take the test. PM me if you ever want to talk.

I looked in to the morning after pill, but don't you need a prescription for it if you are under 18? Also, I've seen a wide range of prices on them, and I don't really have a job yet.

If she has insurance and you live in the US, take her to a Planned Parenthood. They will give you the morning after pill free of charge, it will go on her insurance. I was 15 the first time I took it, no perscription or anything, and my parents never found out. The billing amount from the insurance was sent to my house, but it was only the amount of money the insurance spent on my appointment, not that I took the pill.
At this point though, it's too late for that... but definatly shoot for it next time.

She'll have to wait two weeks to test. Otherwise, she probably won't get an accurate result.

Alright, so she started her period this morning, so I assume she's not pregnant. She's still going to take a pregnancy test next week though, just for sanity's sake.
