Hey there,

It definitely sounds as if you lost your mucus plug. It is common to find clear gooey discharge with streaks of brown, pink, or red blood.

It is uncertain when your labor will begin, although this is the first sign that it will be relatively soon. Keep in mind that it could be up to two weeks before you actually go in to labor.

If you are still uncertain, make an appointment with your OBGYN.

Take care.

After mine fell out I ended up being induced a couple days later, so I can't really say. I does mean it could be happening soon, it could also be a couple more weeks as Jessi said. I've even heard it can heal back up and fall out again... even though I'm sure that's pretty rare.

I have NO clue as to what it looks like... or what it looks like when your water breaks as I was induced...
However it does sound like you lost something...
I would suggest going in to labor and delivery to get checked out...
Every woman handles contractions differently, and when mine first started all it felt like was back aches.

Wasn't till the nurse used me as a pin cushion that I actually felt the contractions lol.

So call, or go in.. either way get checked out to see where you're at in terms of labor good luck!

i lost mine when i was at home and i was 10cm went to the hospital thinking i was only 6cm so maybe you should go get checked out they say you should even when you have some blood down there. You could be in labor i had all back labor and it hurt like hell!

If I were you, I'd just go in and ask to be checked just to see how far along in the labor process you are. It sounds like it'll be soon, but there's really no way to tell for sure. I've heard of people losing it and still not giving birth for another month or so afterward.

Best wishes.
