can you guys think of any cool boy names that start with S... I have this obsession with choosing my future kids' names and I wan't our family to all have S names...

cuz you see my name is Stephanie... my guys name is Steven... We picked Sophia for a girl... and now I just need a boy name, but I can't find a good one... I'd kinda like a unique name for my boy... but an S name that doesn't sound too femmi u kno? I was just gonna ask about any ideas u guys might have... I need your creative input lol

Haha. Well you can look up just boy names on line. Yeah a lot of those names can be for boys, just when I see them/hear them I automatically think 'GIRL'

It's probably best to line up any potential name with the surname.
For example, Saber Spears sounds... well quite silly xD

Personally, I really like Shiloh for some reason.

I want my first son to be called Garrett, but my girlfriend hates the name.

Also, I would be inclined to value Steven's opinion. If you're going for an unusual name, you run the risk of your son hating it which could lead to low self esteem etc. If your guy can imagine himself being called that and being okay with it, chances are your son will think it's a good name too and hopefully will grow up to be a more confident individual.

You would hate for them to get teased or something if their name is too unusual.

Sean, Seth....I realy like Skylar, i have a friend named that :P but remember, its the kids name. carefull if you name him somthing wierd, cause HES the one gonna be called it for his whole life. I hate my name (Colleen ) and thats gona stick with me forever, so, make sure if you or your fiance wer called that you wouldnt hate it. if i ever have kids, Jason, Jasper, Julia...idk, i like Js :P and Isac.

I kinda understand the unique name thing... i've prolly thaught about this more than you guys though cuz im paranoid about everything... those were just the suggestions like how i would prefer the name sounded... and what letter combinations I'd like the name to have... not the particulater names I want... If I could choose a name from that list, I prolly would have already. I kinda want a 2 syllable name too because of the sirname being spears... gah, this is just so annoying...

i wish i had a more unique name... thats kinda why i want my kids to have unique names...

On the unique name thing, unique names can be okay -- as long as they're not WEIRD. i think there's defiinatly a difference.

My boyfriend's name is Avo (ah voh), names after his father's middle name. The name Avo is estonian, so it goes back to his routes -- his father being named Hans Avo and being born in Germany. The worst he's gotten was "Avacado" a few times. I think it's a beautiful name. I want to name my son after him, as a Jr. -- if I ever have kids with him.
Avo's middle name, however, is Mikail, another unique name. He HATES it. I love it also! Avo Mikail. But yeah. As long as you can put yourself in their shoes and see yourself being called that, then okay. And As long as you get the general public's oppinion - ask random people if they would make fun of a kid with that name.

sorry to kill the mood here and not offer you names, but i will offer you a bit of advice. While it seems nice that you will all have the S letter, that can get confusing when mail comes etc. I have a friend called Andrew, and his older brother is called Adam. Countless occasions they have accidently opened the wrong post. Just bit careful yes

We changed our minds about the boy name being an S name. I still have my heart set on Sophia though for the girl... and we can't change our names lol... we decided it was a little on the cheesy side for us all to have names that start with S, haha... so no worries
