we both love music so i just thought i'd ask..

I understand what you're going through & i'm very sorry for your loss.. instead of looking for lyrics .. if you're any good at writing (of any kind) try writing.. i wrote a poem about the loss of my baby.. & it's a very intimate part of my life. If you're able to write about it.. try that. It helped me , as much as anything can help for the loss of a loved one.

The only one that comes to mind is Pretty by Korn, but I wouldn't listen to that unless you were looking for something more on the demented side. It's not a sad song, it's really graphic and about an awful event. I'm not quite sure what type of song you're looking for, just know that this one is intense due to it's subject matter.

"What do we live for, if not to make life less difficult for each other?"
-George Eliot

"Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself: I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it."
-Groucho Marx

"Don't be afraid your life will end; be afraid that it will never begin."

Playboy Mommy by Tori Amos. It's very, very sad.

Ah, if that's what you're looking for I'd disregard Pretty and go for...
10 Years Today by Bullet for my Valentine,
Invicible by Muse (this is more of a pick-me-up song, but it really does the job)

oh, and Swan Dive Suicide by Hail the Villain

i'm so sorry for your loss.
):
i don't know any, but i liked the sarah mclaughlin suggestion.
you should write one though, you have that raw emotion, that feeling. you should try, it could be very therapeutic.

I had friends who lost twin boys recently, they played "Cloud Number Nine" by Bryan Adams at the meal after the service. Its not a song that comes to mind straight away but it was pretty appropriate I thought.
