birth control & pregnancy - August 10th 2010, 02:01 AM

What happens when you take birth control while you are pregnant?
Will you still get your period?

everything will be okay
in the end
if it's not okay
its not the end.

If you're pregnant you won't get a period, but it is possible to have implantation bleeding or other forms of bleeding while pregnant that might seem like a period. If you think you're pregnant you should definitely get a test and then get off birth control if you find out you are indeed pregnant. I haven't heard of anything horrible happening, so I wouldn't get off birth control unless you actually know you're pregnant, but they can't be helpful either so it's best if you take a test as soon as possible and find out.

From your head down to your toes,
You're not much, goodness knows.
But you're so precious to me,
Sweet as can be,
Baby of mine.

Re: birth control & pregnancy - August 10th 2010, 10:16 PM

The last time I had sex was almost 2 months ago. I'm on birth control but there was no condom used, so naturally I'm a little worried. I took necessary precautions and I continued taking my birth control. The day I had sex was the day that I took my last pill and started placebos, my period was very light compared to what I usually get (I had vaginal bleeding and I think stress may have caused it to falter a little). So I spent the next month freaking out and when it came time to start my placebos again I got my period, full on, like I usually do with no changes. My thing now is, I'm on my last week of pills and then I'm going to start the placebo, but could it be at all possible that because I'm taking the pills I'll get my period anyways if I was pregnant? Or do you think that the hormones due to the pregnancy would override the hormoned from the Birth Control?

Thanks!

All you have to do is take a test to find out if you're pregnant.
All pregnancies are different when it comes to if you will continue bleeding or not.

I've found the one who completes me.
This love is like nothing I've ever felt before. <3
