i need to get on birth control because i am fooling around with my almost boyfriend and he tells me i need to be on it...and i agree...problem is my mom still thinks im a virgin and not having sex till marriage..what should i do?

Is there are Planned Parenthood or Health Department where you live? They can usually get you birth control for fairly cheap or even free.

I fully agree with you getting on birthcontrol, check out getting into a clinic or health department. Make sure that if you're having sex that you're being safe, remember birth control isn't 100% and that using a condom is deffinately wise, if the condom breaks you can go to a pharmacy and get Plan B which will keep you from concieving as long as you take it within 72 hours.

I could go on my own...but I would really rather just get it through my own doctor and have my mom know im taking it...should I blame it on my period or acne?

You could tell her that you want it because of acne or your period. BC can also help with cramping. It's also really nice to be able to know when your period is going to show up. I would give her those excuses. It also really helps if you are normally irregular. I would just bring it up to her. Just tell her that you have heard that it helps with acne and regulating periods, and that you'd like to go on it.

does it make girls gain weight...my sister gained a lot of weight on it when she took it back in college

It depends on the pill and it depends on the person. That's why you need to speak to your doctor about which type is best for you.
