I hate to be another "am I Pregnant?" person....because yes I know pee on the damn stick....but these are just some questions that keep me pondering since I have never been pregnant.
Anyways! So up until this afternoon I had experiencing symptoms I've never had...odd food cravings (a cheeseburger for over a week), fried food, heartburn over random food, more frequent headaches, and feeling sick then fine awhile later......then all of a sudden today I started bleeding- ((dark at first then to a pink then a little darker)) it started light, then stopped, then came back light again to moderate yet still light. (I am currently on birth control and would have started my period about 2-1 1/2 weeks ago). What could this be? Also, could/can/have you heard of someone getting pregnant while on birthcontol, and still having normal periods?. Does it cause a period whether you are preg. Or not?. Sorry, one last question.....I did miss one pill within the past few days, but with my experience of missing pills accidentally it usually would take 2-3 days of missing a pill for it to cause me to bleed and I took it before 24 hours. sorry, but thanks

Jenn,
It is possible to get pregnant on birth control, and since it sounds like you've forgotten in the past, this could possibly be what caused you to think this way. Of course, you don't get your period while your pregnant. What pregnant woman often confuse for their period isn't. You can bleed during your pregnancy, which causes you to believe it is a period...but it's not. Take a pregnancy test. We can't tell you if you are or aren't. It's the only way of knowing for sure. You can take a home pregnancy test, but you can get one done at a doctors office as well. |

Yeah, didnt mean to Ask the can you have your period while pregnant....I did actually mean it in the way is it possible to just bleed randomly while pregnant? Haha. Also know you can get pregnant while just relying on b/c I am the product of that! I was planning on taking a test tomorrow just to ease my mind, yet still was looking to see if I was just over analyzing it all. Thanks

Just remember to not stress about it. You could be having a hysterical pregnancy if you continue to stress about it, but I would definitely take a test to ease your mind. If you are pregnant, make sure to get medical attention immediately to make sure everything is developing correctly, and to talk about your options.
Also, make sure to read the directions on the pregnancy test to make sure you are doing it accurately to get the best reading. FOR the best reading, make sure to take the pregnancy test first thing in the morning, that's when the HCG or pregnancy hormone is the highest. Keep me updated! OH! And the bleeding you might be experiencing now is called Implantation Bleeding. Do a general internet search to learn more. I don't know much about it. But, it is possible to bleed randomly while pregnant. If it's spotting, no problem. If it's a large amount, it'd be a cause for concern. |

I've read about the implantation bleeding but it seems like it's starting to be way more then everywhere says (but who knows I always say, everyone is different!) I planned on right in the morning, I knew about the whole hcg hormone being more concentrated then. Well thanks for your help, I'll let everyone know what the good ol' test tells me in the morning! No matter what it says I'll be happy......possibly more if I am. Hmmmmmm.......

And just to add, although most implantation bleeding is lighter than a normal period would seem, it can be the same heaviness, our family friend had a friend who had to deal with implantation bleeding the whole first tri-mester, the baby was fine, but she mistook it for her period a lot because it was just as much blood as when she would have her period.
