After a miscarriage.. - October 11th 2011, 03:31 AM

Do you still gain weight and eat a lot? Like, I'm pretty sure I had a miscarriage, and I took a pregnancy test but it was invalid. So, I'm going to buy another one tomorrow and pray my mom doesn't see it. But I LOOK pregnant. Not far along, but slightly. I tried to lose weight, but I just keep gaining and I can't seem to stop eating. Some smells make me sick, and sometimes I just randomly feel sick in the morning. But not often. I dunno, it's like I'm pregnant again, but yet I think I had a miscarriage. It's gross, but I'll explain it. I was about a month and a half along, and I sudden had really bad cramps, and I bled a lot. Then this -not real big but big- lump of fleshy stuff came out. So I'm pretty sure it was a miscarriage. But yet, I'm having symptoms of pregnancy.

Sorry for the long drawn out statement, I was wondering if it was normal.

It could be just the pregnancy hormones from when you were pregnant. Or, it the bleeding could've been pregnancy related. Go to the doctor since you're obviously concerned. They'll help put your mind at ease. Good luck.

That's true. I don't know if it would be that though, because it's been over half a month since it happened. Well I'm out of town, and since I'm underaged I'd have to have my mom with me at the doctors, and I don't want to tell her I may be pregnant. If I truly am pregnant, I'll tell her, but if I'm not I don't want to say a word. I'll take a pregnancy test again before I do anything.

Do you know how far along you might have been?

As Brittany said, it could have been a miscarriage and depending on how far along you were, it might take up to a couple months before the pregnancy hormones are back to normal. Or it could be just a really nasty period. Stress, change, and several other things can cause your period to skip or turn up late and be a different consistency.

Either way, you feel you have lost a child. If you would like, join the Miscarriage/Stillbirth Support Group on TeenHelp. It's not very active, but we are trying. If you need anything, feel free to PM me.

So you have gray hair and you're only 26

that's just another reason I love you...

Hi I just though I'd reiterate - even if you took a pregnancy test now, it might be positive from the pregnancy hormones still in your system. It doesn't mean you are pregnant. If I were you, leave it for a month or until you get your period. Then try a test.

Best of luck <3

Thanks. I was just going to get one while I'm still out of town, and no one knows me here. xD I live in a small town, so a ton of people know me. Apparently even people I don't know know me. So yeah.

But I probably won't take the test soon, I'll just keep it for a while and hope my mom doesn't find it in my purse. o_o
