Exclamation Could I be pregnant? - April 1st 2012, 04:26 PM

Forgive me if I sound inexperienced and dumb, but I'm SUPER paranoid.

Yesterday my boyfriend and I went swimming. He had an erection, and my legs were wrapped around his waist. We were both wearing our swimsuits. Is there any chance I could be pregnant?

Hard as lightning, soft as candlelight
Dare you trust the music of the night?
Close your eyes, for your eyes will only tell the truth
And the truth isn't what you want to see
In the dark it is easy to pretend
That the truth is what it ought to be."

There is no chance you can be pregnant.

In order for pregnancy to occur, sperm must enter the vagina and there must be an egg present. You know your cycle, fertility is greatest in the middle of the cycle.

An erection alone cannot cause pregnancy, the bathing suit acts as a barrier to any sperm, and furthermore, the water would immediately kill any sperm that could have managed to leak out.

As was already said, you can't get pregnant simply from an erection. In order to become pregnant, the penis has to enter the vagina, and sperm and an egg has to be present. You are perfectly fine.
