Post Coming Out to my Mom... Help - February 1st 2010, 02:59 AM

Okay I have discovered for a year now that i am bisexual. Recently my sister found out that i was bisexual through one of my acquaintances. My sister took it well and doesn't really care im bisexual. I have been wanting to come out to my mom now for a while now but i just don't know how to do it. My mom believes that homosexuality/bisexuality is unnatural and repulsive. I really want to tell her though so she doesn't find out for herself by her looking through some of my stuff. What would be the best way to come out to somone that is against homosexuality? I was thinking of writing a note but i dont know if thats a good idea. Please help...

when i did it, i just said hey i need to talk to you. but was so ashamed to say it to her face to face i had to text it to her from the bathroom and then we talked about it after that.

the ink was smeared, the lines were drawn and scribbled unclear.

I told my mum from a very young age, I was 13 and I just knew that I was gay even at that age. Sometimes writing a letter can be helpful as it'll help you say things your too scared to say to her face.

Good luck.

Writing a letter might be a good idea, but maybe give it to her to read while you sit there with her. I wouldn't recommend leaving her a letter somewhere and not being there when she reads it... I did that... Baaaddd idea.
