I'm confused - February 21st 2010, 05:53 PM

I dont know what i am. I consider myself a boy (but i am born as a girl) but i still like dresses and would rather wear a dress than a tux. But i want to get top surgery...not so much bottom surgery because i'm afraid of the pain. I dont know weither i'm Androgynous because i do consider myself as a guy. but i mean i still like putting on makeup and thinking of wearing some girl clothes. But out of a percentage i would consider myself about 75 or 80 percent male and the rest female. What am i than? I dont know and i want to find out. PLease help

Maybe you're just genderqueer, which is an undefined mix of the genders. You don't HAVE to define yourself as anything though, but sadly society seems to frown on ambiguity.
Maybe you could just call yourself a cross-dresser trapped in a female's body? x

gender is fluid and changes from person to person.
theres no need to define yourself as male or female, or as anything for that matter. you are who you are and you being happy is the most important thing. however, i know that its often easier to have a lable, especially when telling other people.
i know ive always been a 'tomboy' and have never been a 'girly-girl' but i know that i am a girl even though i wear guys clothes and sometimes act like a girl. ive thought about being trans when i was younger but i know that even if i was a guy, id still know that i was born a girl and have had a lot of good times as a girl.
strange as it seems, i went to youtube. there are quite a lot of people who vlog about transsexuality and everything to do with it. it really helped me out and most of them are cool if you have any questions, they dont mind answering them and helping you.
i know it sounds wierd, but youtube can really help. PM/VM me if you want some of the usernames of the people on youtube
good luck with everything

Re: I'm confused - February 23rd 2010, 10:41 PM

the 'girl' things youve said you like, what are they exactly? because if they are things which you would experience as a male then maybe youd be happier identifying as a male? which would also make top surgery, and possibly bottom surgery, easier to get? and would probably be easier for other people to understand too.
like ive said, ive considdered trans-things for want of a better word haha but i dont think id want surgery, i dont think id be massively more happier as a male, so im 90% sure ill stay as a female. i would have both surgeries and i think id be happy as a male but i dont know if it would be worth it or if it is the best thing for me. if that makes any sense haha
end of the day, theres many things you need to considder no matter what path you go down. and youve got to think of yourself, put your happiness 1st.
appologies for the rambling lol. PM box is always open

Re: I'm confused - February 24th 2010, 09:51 PM

so if you were to get married you would rather wear a dress?
like ive said before, no-one can say to you "your a male" or "your a female", as unfortunate as that can be at times haha.
but for me, i wear and act how i feel comfortable. if i want to wear jeans and a t-shirt ill wear that, if i want to wear make-up ill do it. if i dont want to, i wont. simple as. if i dont feel comfortable in it, i wont wear it.
i know it can be a lot easier if you can put a label to it, but theres not always a label for everyone. you might be genderqueer, trans, or just questioning which i think most teenagers do.
id do whatever is comfortable for you, put yourself first, make yourself happy. if you want to act more male one day and then more female the next, do it. i dont see how it can hurt anyone.
in time im sure youl figure out exactly 'what you are' but for now, enjoy your teen years, they can be messed up enough without worrying about this lol
good luck and my PM box is always open
