Hey there.

I think it's great you're at a stage where you feel like you can be open about this.

However, the first thing I'm going to ask is this: are you sure telling this person via a message is the right thing to do? This kind of conversation is often best face-to-face, person-to-person.

If you're sure about writing the person a message, the best thing you can do is be open and honest. Something like, 'I have something to tell you, and I hope you'll be okay with it. I'm interested in girls. I don't want this to affect our friendship, but I understand if it's something you need time to process it.' So, basically, make sure you don't just tell them and expect them to automatically accept it; make it clear that although it's been hard for you, you understand it might be hard for them too.

If you're up to it, let them know you'd be okay to answer any questions they may have. Sometimes, when you come out to someone, they may be a little unsettled, but if you answer questions they have, it can help get them used to the idea. Alternatively, some people just need time and space to process this kind of information, so let them know it's okay if that's the case.

Good luck.

She lives two hours away, and I'm way to uncomfortable telling face-to-face right now.

But I just sent the message :) I put it off because of nerves for like, thirty minutes before I realized I was being silly and just pressed the send button.

But now I'm really nervous about the reply...

Thanks for your help :D It really helped me a lot. I was origanally planning on just sending one saying that I hoped things didn't change and that I liked girls. So thank you :)

I am glad that you sent the message. I hope it goes well. I know that coming out to friends and family is a very hard thing to do. The fact that you want to take this step is great! Good luck

There could never be amore beautiful you
Don't buy the lies, disguisesandhoops they make you jump through
You were made tofill a purposethat only you could do

Everyday
is so wonderful
And suddenly it's hard to breathe
Now and then I get insecure
From all the pain, I feel so ashamed

I am beautiful no matter what they say
Words can't bring me down
I am beautiful in every single way
Yes, words can't bring me down, oh no
So don't you bring me down today

To all your friends you're delirious
So consumed in all your doom
Tryin' hard to fill the emptiness, the piece is gone
Left the puzzle undone, ain't that the way it is?

'Cause you are beautiful no matter what they say
Words can't bring you down, oh no
You are beautiful in every single way
Yes, words can't bring you down, oh no
So don't you bring me down today

Things worked out wonderfully!

She accepted me on the spot and said that if I was happy, she was happy. : )
