When did you realize/come to terms with your sexuality?

I was a pretty late bloomer I guess, I didn't accept it until I was 16.

I was 11 when I realized it, but I was NOT happy about it. Now, I'm 14 and I'm still not FULLY at peace with it. Some days, I'm happy about myself, other days, not so much.

I sorta realised I had feelings for girls when I was about 10. I didn't fully accept it til I was 15 though.

When I was about 11 I thought I was a lesbian. I found it a little hard to accept as all my friends in school would talk about liking guys from my class I only really got attracted to men when I was 15/16. It was thanks to my first boyfriend how I got to turns with it He come out as bisexual and helped me come out also.

I always knew. I liked things girls werent supposed to like. I was very boyish. I always liked wearing boy clothes instead of dresses. My first girl crush was maybe when I was 10ish. I didn't come til I was 17.

There were so many gradual little steps along the way that I don't really know. I was never really 'in denial' or trying to stop my feelings; it was kind of the other way round. From about eleven I fully embraced the whole 'it's-ok-to-have-crushes-on-girls-it-doesn't-mean-you're-gay' philoshophy and it wasn't til I was about sixteen that I realised I liked girls a little bit more than the average bi-curious might. Even so I was 'out' as bi-curious for a few months at seventeen before I finally admitted ~ to myself AND everyone else ~ that I was bi.

I knew when I was quite young, probably about 10/11 but I didn't admit it to myself until I was around 16. I started coming out when I was 18 but wasn't exactly ready for it and it ended up messing a few things up so now, at age 20, I'm acting finally starting to want to be open about my sexuality and be honest.

I think I'm still developing feelings, but it's focusing more on girls now. A lot more girl crushes then for guy crushes. No rush for me. I had a first experience at 10 and at 11/12 I realized I wasn't straight. Then went though a switching between lesbian/bisexual. I guess I'm staying bisexual for a long time.

I first realized I was gay when I was 13. However, I was definitely not ready to come out at that point. I was not happy with the idea at all. Now, at 16, I am out to a bunch of people and am at peace with my sexuality.

I'm still confused only because my track record with both sexes sucks. Ever since I was little though I've always felt there was something different about me. I could just feel it and it's only been recently within this past summer that I've stopped trying to run from it. It's weird because now that I've started to acknowledge it I feel a lot more complete than I have in my entire life (because I've denied it so long).

I have been somewhat attracted to girls around 13 but didn't think any thing of it because I didn't have anymore feeling than oh I think she is cute or hot until I was 15. It was when I was 15 that I realized I was bi and I was at terms with it ever since.

I have dated a few girls but mostly guys and well my boyfriend doesn't have the slightest problem with it all.

When i was 16, i realized i was bisexual. Around 18, i started realizing that I'm probably lesbian. Still not 100%. My focus is my girlfriend/fiance and i don't really have the desire to figure it out. love is love.

It's so nice to read everyone's stories. It makes me feel less alone.

Though it's only taken me a while to realize and accept it, I feel a lot happier now that I have. I mean I remember as a kid being attracted to girls in a way that "wasn't normal".

For a long time, and even now since I'm still kind of in the closet I lie and say I'm straight but the fact that I have admitted the truth about who I am has made things so much easier and as long as I can admit the truth to myself then I know I'll be okay.

I guess I still haven't fully come to terms with it. I still have yet to tell anyone, not even any friends. I'm hoping to tell them soon however. As far as everyone else... I could care less if they know, it's more of a need to know basis, they don't need to know, so I'm not gonna tell them. I started doubting the fact that I was straight around when i was 12 or 13, although I think I subconsciously knew it all along. Like I knew I was different than most girls and that I liked stuff that girls weren't supposed to like and I was never very girly or anything. And now at almost 15, I've finally accepted the fact that it's okay and that it doesn't mean there's anything wrong with me, it's just another part of who I am.

I'm not really sure. I mean, I've never really been in a relationship with any guys or girls so it's hard for me to say. In high school I never saw any guys who I thought were hot/cute anything like that, but sexually I feel attracted to both guys and girls. Lately though I think more about girls but it's hard for me to say when I "realized" it because I'm still very confused sometimes. I've never really had a strong physical attraction to anyone, although I know i'm bi. I would say I just fully "realized" it about a year ago.

But then I sorta, pushed it out of my mind, until i was 14/15, then I just straight out deneyed it and tried to change it, but Now at 16, I have a wonderful girlfriend and I think I'm bi? 11/12? i met a girl and we were curious so we experimented i wound up realizing i like both sexes while she only likes guys. and we are still best friends to this day.
i always kinda thought i might be. i act so much like a guy and what not. i came to terms my sophmore year of high school 14/15 and just came out to my mom this year. i still kinda struggle with it but my boyfriend assures me if im atracted then its perfectly ok...

I first realized it in sixth grade after a volleyball practice when I started started staring at one of the fifth grade guys =P I suppose I just came to terms with it in 7th grade when all my friends started talking about girls and the like, and I was still focused on other boys.
