I'm not sure of my sexuality, well at first, I thought I knew.. I accepted that I was bisexual, but the more I thought about it, the more I lost feelings for girls, if you know what I mean? I just get so confused about it now

Chelsea,
I was the same way around your age. You're still growing up. You are going to go through times where you think you only like guys, or you just like girls. It's ok to be confused about your sexuality. Something that might be comforting is knowing that there is no rush in figuring it out. This is apart of you, and you should just roll with it. Love is love. If you happen to fall in love with a girl then you fall in love with a girl. Same with boys. For now I think you can always test those waters a bit. Flirt with girls and see how you feel. Same with boys. You can always ask yourself questions like "Would I ever kiss her?", or "Am I attracted to her?". Figuring out your sexuality is always difficult for people. It's a daily struggle for some. Our thoughts are also influenced by others, and our own beliefs. Just be true to yourself, and don't force/rush anything.

Hey Chelsea.
As Lyndsee said, you're still young. It's okay not to be sure. The best thing to do is just see how things go. If you prefer girls, go with that; if you fall for a guy, that's how it is. It's possible you could still be bisexual. Being bisexual doesn't always mean you're equally attracted to both genders, or attracted to both at all times. Some bisexual people find that sometimes they feel more attracted to one gender, and sometimes the other. If it helps, maybe try not having a label? I know that works for some people, who feel comfortable without putting a name to it, but I also know that others feel a lot better if they're able to give it a label. It's up to you. We can't tell your what your orientation is. That's something you'll have to figure out in time, and I really hope when you do, it's soon, and you're okay with it. I wish you all the best. Nothing in the world is the way it ought to be. It's harsh, and cruel. But that's why there's us - champions. Doesn't matter where we come from, what we've done or suffered, or even if we make a difference. We live as though the world is as it should be, to show it what it can be. |
