I've always thought i was straight, but lately I've felt different.
I've been having these dreams where i kiss my friends, both boys AND girls
Now whenever I see them, i feel weird...
Almost like a crush sorta feeling...
What's wrong with me? Why do I feel like that?

Hey there.

First off, there's nothing wrong with you. Whether you're straight, gay, or somewhere in between, that's fine.

I can't tell you what your orientation is; that's something only you can determine. But I can give you some help figuring it out, I hope.

It's not uncommon for people to have dreams about people they're not actually attracted to. I mean, I've had dreams where I'm attracted to someone I know in real life, and it feels great in the dream, but I wake up and realise that I feel completely different. Dreams are just dreams, after all. Yes, they can be meaningful sometimes, but they can also be nothing more than what they seem.

It's also, believe it or not, not unheard of for straight people to have crushes on members of the same sex. That doesn't make you gay.

Ask yourself if you can picture yourself being with a girl, or with a guy. Does one feel right? Do both? Does neither? What kind of attraction do you feel towards either gender - emotional, physical, both?

My advice right now is this: do what feels right. If you want to be with a guy, do it. If you'd prefer to be with a girl, why not? Realising you may be attracted to both genders, or the opposite one to what you thought, can put some internal pressure on you to label yourself, but let me assure you, there's no need. Things can change - you can change - and what you feel now might not always be there. Just go with the flow, so to speak, and see where it takes you.

All the best.

Nothing in the world is
the way it ought to be.
It's harsh, and cruel.

But that's why there's us - champions.
Doesn't matter where we come from,
what we've done or suffered,
or even if we make a difference.

We live as though the
world is as it should be,
to show it what it can be.
