Maybe you could explain to her that you are a lesbian and therefore find this kind of behavoir uncomfortable. As you say you've been through a lot I'm sure she would accept you for who you are and be happy about your honesty.

Yeah. Its also very very common (from where i'm from) for girls to be that way with eachother. Even im like it with the rugby lads we call eachother babe from time to time and do stuff other lads probally wouldn't like "hug" and "wink" but its all in good nature and fun to us. Obviously this is being seen differently and I understand that.
If she is the friend you say she is, like ianto said, just explain to her and im sure everything will be fine. I doubt its flirting as its common but clarify  Hope I helped. X |
