Transgender Remembrance day 2011 - November 20th 2011, 11:58 AM

Today (20/11/11) is transgender remembrance day. It's a day for us to remember those who have lost their lives as a direct result of their identity.

People all around the world have been tormented, bullied and even killed for the way they are. What sort of world do we live in where someone can't live in the body that they were meant to?

My thoughts are with the friends and families who lost a loved one as a result of this.

http://www.gender.org/remember/day/what.html < there is a website if you'd like to know more around the reasons for today.

Thank you so much for sharing this, Lottie! I wasn't aware of this, but I think it's a wonderful organization. It's truly sad how many transgender people lose their lives in such unnecessary tragedies. This is a great way to both remember and honor the dead as well as create awareness.

I didn't know this even existed, but I think it's so great that it does! Thank you so much for sharing, and may each and every one of them rest in peace. This is no reason for somebody to loose their life.

Would you let me see beneath your beautiful
