How will they perceive your sexuality? - January 2nd 2012, 08:18 AM

Do friends and parents really respect the fact that someone
has the courage to make your sexuality known? How do you
come out to people and reassure them that you can't change
your sexuality is not your decision to make without it being
awkward? Is this even possible? Also, what if you hardly have
friends to support you as it is, and end up with less support
when you come out? TY for reading, I know, lots of questions.

Regually at school people say that they are amazed and really repect me for being open and honest about my sexuality.

You say something like, I am gay, I didn't choose to be this way, but I am and I can't change it. If they continue to not understand then say why would I choose to be gay?

If you friends are true friends they will stick by you through this period. For me the respect I have gained in my year has led to me being closer to my friends and making new true friends.

Anymore questions do ask and I will help in anyway possible

some times, in towns that are conservative, they don't respect it, they think you are revolting, i am bi, i came out 8th grade, socializing with people is almost non existent, if i was somebody who was in the closet, i would wait until college or after highschool to come out

What is love? I lost the meaning long ago.

In my town, its kind of normal to hear about someone sexuality. But for some people, it is a disgrace ( mostly older people). And sometime people that come out, well nobody believes them for a bit.
