Transition Names? -

I heard recently that there are such a thing as transition names for trans people. I am FTM and my real name is Kaitlin. People have always had the nickname Charlie and I have never exactly liked it. I just use that name for online things. Anyway, I was wondering about transition names. I really like Kye and was thinking about that one. But, what are some other peoples opinions?

Pick a name that feels right to you
 If Kye feels right to you, use Kye. If another name, then that other name.

If Kye is the name you want then go for it, if that feels a little too out there for you, then my friend, google is an awesome tool. And if google doesn't know, well then I have no suggestions. I highly doubt that was helpful but my advice is kinda off today. If you ever wanna talk just shoot me a message.

Look through baby books and make a list of your favorite. Then just try to ween it down to three. Then which name feels like you.

I like Kye too
But, like Dustin said, try looking through baby name books There's no law that says it has to be in any way similar to your original name! This can be an entirely new name for you <3

Avoid names that can be used for both sexes. Kye is one of them. My best friend is a MTF Trans. he used his nan's middle name. (He didn't know his mum). My FTM friend used his best friend's middle name- which was Jase. I love that name. So how about your grandad/dad's/carers middle name? Or Jase?

^^ Use whatever name you like, on another site I know a guy (also FTM) who changed his name four times (-at least when I was on the site-) It's whatever name feels comfortable for you.

Hey! Personally, I would look for male variations of your name. Some have them some don't. A good (and ovbious) example is Jaun and Jaunita. =)
