Question on Lesbianism - January 11th 2012, 02:23 PM

Question: is a girl a lesbian or bisexual if she is dating and in a sexual relationship with a male-to-female transgender who has not begun hormone therapy (in other words, someone who is biologically male who dresses up and 'acts' like a girl)?

Labels are given in society to make people feel out of place and uncomfortable. However if you are looking for a label I think that it would majorly depend on what that transgender identified as. Meaning do they go by She/her, or he/him. Though, if the girl likes other guys anyway, then it could be labeled as Bisexual. Hope this made sense

Okay, it took me a moment to get the question,
but you said "MTF", right? just because the person (at that moment) has a penis doesn't make them any less of a women on the inside, right? So I'd say they'd still be a lesbian because if you forget that their physical body is a man, and remember that their mental gender is woman, then they are, in a sense, a woman, so the girl dating them is still a lesbian.

In a world filled with diversity, I am just another oddity.

I'm a work-in-progress, take it or leave it.

Honestly, it depends on what the transgender identifies themselves as. There's really no need for a label though - love is love. That's all there is to it.

Okay, so we are looking at a man who crossdresses as a women. And his/her girlfriend? I think I got it, correct me if I'm wrong. The question really comes down to if you are attracted to the "she" part of the "him" or the "him" part of the "she" if that makes sense?
