2 years since I first came out! -

I first came out as bisexual on January 16, 2010.
I was at my best friend's 14th birthday party. It was probably about 2 AM and we were sitting in the dark in a circle, talking. Someone suggested that we go around in a circle and talk about who we liked (we were little dorks  ). When it came around to me, I said, "I think I'm bisexual," and told them about a crush I had on a girl. They were totally fine with it  . Wow, it's been 2 years since then. At this point, I have totally accepted that I'm bi  . I'm really lucky to live in a place where most people are generally accepting. I think I'm going to come out to my parents on the anniversary of my first coming-out.

It's so great that since your first coming out, you've been able to completely accept yourself!

Hey Elsa,
Thanks for sharing. I think it's great you've accepted yourself and your sexuality, and it's also good that people have accepted you too. Having people around you who know and love you for exactly who you are is always a good thing. Best of luck if you decide to tell your parents; like Kylie said, let us know how it goes! Take care. Nothing in the world is the way it ought to be. It's harsh, and cruel. But that's why there's us - champions. Congratulations on being out and proud about your sexuality for 2 years! Good luck when you tell your parents, I'm sure they will be just as understanding!!

It does make it a lot easier when you live in a place that accepts it
