So I asked this guy I'm friends with from another school to go to prom with me. We haven't talked since then (like a month ago) cause we barely get to see each other. Today he came over to drop off his school ID and I answered the door and took it from him then just stood there awkwardly without letting him in. I completely choked up; I don't even like him though! And it was so awkward. Annnddd I just remembered I was supposed to ask him about what he wanted off the menu and I forgot ((( I'm thoroughly embarassed.
I won't see him again until prom, so what should I do?! Urrghh

Hey, Lauren. Well, since you seem to have gotten off on the wrong awkward foot with him (at least you don't like him like that, but the situation is still new enough to make you nervous) you might want to consider getting in touch before prom. As in, before you absolutely have to. Catch up with him, talk about prom-ish-stuff if you need an icebreaker but chat as friends too. It'll take a lot of pressure off you if you feel more comfortable with him, and it'll make it less awkward. I bet he isn't freaking out nearly as much as you are, so don't worry about it; just get in touch with him. Hope this helps!
