Should I tell my boyfriend I cut again

My stress and sadness went through the roof tonight and I just relapsed

When my boyfriend is around should I tell him I relapsed again?.. He told me to tell him everything because it builds trust but I don't want him sad or concerned or angry

Hello, I am so sorry that you are having a hard time with this right now. Please don't be so hard on yourself. You are going to be ok. Hugs.

It's up to you if you would like to tell you're boyfriend about this. For some people its really hard to talk about and why do they do this and some people don't always understand what is going on with someone who self harming. If you would like to tell you're boyfriend, you can sit down with him when the two of you are along and you can tell him about what happened or you can write a letter to him if that is something that would help you out better. Or if you don't feel that you are not ready or you don't want to, you don't have to tell him. It's totally up to you. Go with what you are feeling.

Also when you feel like you are going to self harm you can put on a funny movie or TV show. Or go for a walk with music or get a rubber band or a hair tie and put it around you're wrist and snap it every time you feel that you're going to do this.

I hope that you will be ok soon. Lots of hugs.

It can help to tell your loved ones if you have had a relapse because they can provide you with support. I think that it is something that only you can answer though. If you think telling him would be a good idea and that he will encourage you and support you than go for it.
