He left - June 3rd 2019, 08:29 PM

So hey guys,

Me and my boyfriend split up today. He couldn't handle my chronic illness, started making other excuses about why he was leaving but I knew it was because of my ME. I've not long been diagnosed with it, he was one of the first people who knew about it, I haven't even told my parents about it yet.
But today he just walked out on me, left me heartbroken and completely soul shattered. I honestly thought he was the right one but obviously if he can't support me and stay while I'm going through this then he isn't. I just feel so heartbroken, I love him.

Hey Michaela, how are you feeling now?

It's still awful to see how your ex left you because of your ME diagnosis. But you are right in that it's not fair on you to be with someone who doesn't support you when you are going through a difficult time. Relationships take work and both people need to support each other, and this guy just couldn't do that for you. I know that doesn't take away from the strong feelings you have had for him, but remember that you deserve better!

Hey there,

I am sorry you are having to deal with this. It must feel awful to have had him leave because of your diagnosis. I agree that relationships take work and it seems like this guy was not willing to put in the work. I know things are probably hard right now but hopefully with time they will improve. You are worthy of love and I hope you won't forget that.

Hi there,

I'm so sorry to hear that your partner left. It really isn't fair that he couldn't support you when you needed someone to help you.

You weren't the reason why he left.
