Crushing on my thesis advisor - GAH! -

Maybe it's the fact it's late at night and my higher-order thinking is off.
Bottom line: She's cute, in that "nerdy" sort of way. Problem: I. I have a girlfriend, whom I couldn't be happier with. II. My thesis advisor is at least ten years older than I am (ha ha) III. This is, and will be, a mentor/mentee relationship. I found her Facebook the other day and, for the briefest of moments, considered friending her, but considering that this is a professional relationship, didn't. Do I have any intention of acting on this? No. Did I feel like bitching a little? Yes. Needed to vent a little. -ice |

Life is frustrating, but we both know you shouldn't leave the one you love for the one you like. [: I'm glad you know your limitations with her, though - most people get so head-over-heels "in like" with infatuation and whatnot, they just can't stop. So, way to be mature! I hope things continue to work out with your girlfriend.

How can one love themselves, when they love absolutely nothing? Do something that is interesting. If it is not interesting, find out why it is not interesting. |

I agree with the above. You have a girlfriend and the feeling will most likely pass. It's good that you aren't going to act on it as I wouldn't recommend it, you don't want to ruin the professional relationship you have or make it awkward and you don't want to mess things up with your girlfriend.
