Just a pointless rant

Being single for so long is starting to drive me crazy. I know right now having a boyfriend/girlfriend wouldn't be good for me as I need to sort loads of problems out in my life first (hating certain social situations, anxiety, self-hatred etc.) before I even think of getting involved with someone else but eh. I just get so fricking lonely. The main problem is my "light of the end of the tunnel" always seems to be me finding someone to love/love me. Obviously I don't think that's a healthy image as I should learn to be happy on my own before I can be happy with someone else.

I don't even know why I miss being in a relationship so much, my last two were crap.

Kind of off topic: It's also starting to annoy me how easily people can find a person to be in a relationship with. Just give them a couple of shots of vodka, loud dance music and a club and woohoo >_____< I wish I could find it that easy.

Oh my, late reply here. Sorry about that. I just wanted to stop in and say that I'm eighteen also, and I've been in one relationship, which was very short-lasting, when I was twelve. Since then, I haven't ever really found someone who liked me at the same time I liked them, or who I liked that had a crush on my. What a vicious cycle, right? Anyway, just know that you're not alone.

I kind of feel like as long as you have a void that you think only a relationship can fill, you're not going to find one, but once you become happy with yourself (as you already realize), you'll just have relationships flocking to you. You'll be fighting them off, hehe. [: But really, with a great, quirky personality like the one you have, I have no doubt in my mind that people will fall for you fairly easily.

PS: That's not love, it's lust! Lust is easy to find if you want to find it, but I don't necessarily recommend it.

I feel like that sometimes. I'm only 15 and five-sixths, yet everybody around me seems to be in a relationship/ in love. It seems silly when I think about it, but I can't help feeling like I should be in a relationship. Never really had one, never kissed a girl... yeah. Anyways, people tell me what I'm about to tell you:

NEVER get into a relationship for the sake of being in one - only enter a relationship because you really want to be with that person.
NEVER mistake wanting to be loved NOW for real love. You might fool yourself into thinking you love them simply because you've got a little crush on them but when it goes bad - which it will if you do that - it won't be nice.
ALWAYS remember that you'll find somebody in the end. It's inevitable.

Thanks both lol that's the first time I've ever been called quirky, it's normally just strange and weird.

@Chris I've been in a relationship for the sake of being in one (and to annoy my ex boyfriend as they hated eachother) before so I know how it'll end. He only wanted me for sex anyway. The odd thing was when we did break up I felt nothing, it showed I never cared for him.
