Okay, so I'm freaking out here about not having a prom date.

So, I had a prom date, and then he turned out to be a total ass, and now I'm stuck again. Everyone's all "go alone, it'll be fun!" but honestly, who wants to go alone while all their friends have a date? Prom is March 19, and I still haven't even been asked. There's not even anyone at school I'm interested in, and I don't have any guy friends that would go just as friends and not take it as anything more.

I'm in a slight predicament here.
It's my junior prom, so those of you out there who skipped yours, do you think you missed out? I may just not go this year.

I never went to my junior prom. And I don't think I missed out at all. If you can't find a guy and really want to go, why not go with a female friend? I know lots of girls that have done that!

Well, see, my school does this thing where your name is announced and you get escorted in by your date. Plus, I live in the depths of hell and they only allow boy/girl couples. [[=
I mean, I'm straight, but I still think that's rather ridiculous.

Oh, I was going to say go, until I heard they announced you with your date. That's kinda odd in my opinion. Maybe you could get a group to go together. I did that last year for winter formal and we had tons of fun!

They have junior proms now? Sheesh, back in my day, you had a prom before you graduated your senior year, and that was it.

Sigh, I just went and made myself feel old.

I'm sure someone would be glad to go with you just as a friend.

It's the junior-senior prom. We don't have JUST a senior prom. My school's weird, anyway.

If that's the case, just go next year. Prom is too expensive for someone your age to be doing more than once anyway. I remember spending several hundred dollars on my senior prom. When you're 17, that's a lot of money.

I never went to prom. I was never asked. I don't think I missed out on anything. I don't see the point in spending so much money on a dress that you will probably only wear once.

I haven't went to my graduation prom. I was too nervous to ask anyone. But I'm positive I could've had someone..

Instead I went to some party where I was the only 18 year old and everyone else was 25-50. It was a good night, but I wish I had went to my prom.

Junior prom isn't as big of a deal as senior prom, but If you really need a date I suggest meeting new people in places. Such as find some one from your rivalry schools to go with, unless they have prom on the same day you shouldn't be at a fault. You don't need to go with some one close to you either, you can go with some one as friends, one of your siblings friends or something.

Junior prom is a waste of your time if they announce couples. Wow.. that's a good way to make people feel like crap. Just go to senior prom instead. It's a waste of money doing it twice.

My siblings are ten, eight, eight, seven, and six, so I don't think that would be appropriate. xD
