My moms boyfriends nephew.. -

I was over his house and chillin in the guest room laying on the bed and i told him my leg was hurting from this dance class i was taking in school adn he started massaging my leg.. After i fell asleep..and when i woke up he was laying next to me.. it kinda freaked me out bcuz my mom was just in the other room so i sat up and went to stand up and he grabbed my wrist... and told me to lay down...
Im sure you all know where this is going and what hes gonna say/do next.. so yeah.. I said no and he got angry and kinda hit me.. So i told him never to talk to me again... Not so much looking for advice just an update

I would tell your mother as well. Yes, it's her boyfriend's nephew, so it could cause some tension among family members... but it's better than letting the situation escalate. Just tell her that you don't feel comfortable being alone with him, and that if he's still welcomed to come over, then you'd like to be in the same room as your mother (or another trusted adult) the entire time that your cousin is visiting.

You really should tell your mum that he hit you. Thats just wrong and he shouldnt have done that. |

Im not sure i wanna tell my mum becuz she never knew there was an interest to begin with.. So not only would she be pissed with HIM... But shed also be pissed with me..
id rather just let it go..

I still think you should tell someone, and dont assume that your mum would act that way. Maybe you could explain that you didnt tell her that there was an interest to being with because you really didnt think anything would happen and you just wanted to forget it. Maybe that way she wouldnt be pissed at you.
Also I think she should be pissed at him for acting that way. But if you dont want that then maybe explain that you just wanted to let her know and you doubt it would happen again but if it did then you wanted to be able to tell her. If you feel you would rather just let it go, then thats up to you. But if anything like that ever happens again you really must tell someone. |

Your mom may be a little upset with you... but she'll be MUCH more upset by the fact that her daughter was abused. The police don't blame victims for being in the wrong place, wrong time, wearing the wrong things, doing the wrong things, etc. They blame the perpetrator, the one who committed the crime. Your mother's job is to protect you, so please, give her that opportunity to do so.
