So, I work in the mall. And there is a security gaurd in the mall who comes in, we talk from time to time. He's really nice. And in high school, my friend tried to set us up. We didn't go to school together, but she knew him through this other program. Anyways. I'm sorta crushing on him. Minus the fact that I don't think any guy could like me. But...I don't know his name. And I don't wanna be like, wanna hang out sometime? Or, can I text you? Because like... Idk his name! I thought about asking my friend but then she might go tell him and I'm not sure I'd actually follow through with anything. So idk. Any ideas?

Just ask him, it sounds silly to ask someone what they're name is if you've been speaking from time to time but if you just say "Sorry, but what is your name? I thought I should ask since we talk every now and then" or something along those lines, it doesn't seem as bad. Once you find out, you should then take the chance and ask him to hang out.

To totally avoid asking his name, give him your phone and tell him to put his number in your phone. That way, you will definitely get his name. I definitely think that you should go for it.

usually when that happens to me i just say something like "im jess btw, this is going to sound a little stupid but i dont think i ever caught your name..."
usually it leads to a chuckle or a smile and reassurance that it doesnt sound stupid and his name
