With regards to the conversation part, it's good to have deep meaningful conversations yes, but it is much easier to have a conversation with someone about something you know they are interested in. Take some interest in her interests, and talk about them. Not only do people like talking about things that they like, she will appreciate you trying to get to know her better. It's fine if you have a different point of view on things, just try to see things from her perspective sometimes as well. And don't be discouraged when you do voice your own opinion on things, just move on to the next topic.
With regards to the being nice to other people issue, (I hope I understand what you are saying right, correct me if im wrong xD) it doesn't sound fair that she says those kinds of things to you if she is doing the same thing herself. That is a problem you need to discuss with her. Explain to her that you don't mean anything against her when you are nice to other girls, and that the way she is treating you is completely different from it. In any case, have a talk with her, and see where things go. Good luck, Shaun. Click here to PM me any time, I'm here to help you if you want to talk to someone.
