Thought I was over him :'( - March 6th 2011, 12:46 AM

So i was out at a party tonight. And the guy i was seeing last term up until about 6 weeks ago. I did really like him, but i thought i'd got over him. Because i never saw him around, i stopped thinking about him, and was able to be happy.

But tonight, i saw him, which made me start thinking all over again. Then i saw him dancing with/kissing this girl who someone told me he'd been sleeping with whilst with me. I overheard someone saying he asked her out tonight.

I can't sleep now. I feel physically sick, hundreds of thoughts running through my head.

I've deleted his number, and facebook so i don't have to see any updates etc. But i don't know whats wrong. I thought i was over this

Just one smile makes you think i'm happy... why won't just one tear make you realise i'm not? x

Well considering you finding out all the negatives he did while you were with him is really hard to take in. He wasn't worth your time. I recently had the same issue with my ex. Except my friend took him while i was with him but anyhow i totally get what you are saying and feeling. You did the right thing on deleting his # and facebook. It takes a few days considering the mindset you are in. It took me a few days but then i have those people that care and they tell me everything they love about me and how i'll find someone better. So i just put him in the past and i have to admit i'm not completely over him but i feel i am stronger.
<3 Be strong hun. I'm here if you need to talk.

Maybe you weren't completely over him and seeing him just struck a cord for you.
I would say try not to think about it, because the more you brew over this the more upset it'll make you.
It's over, and you have accepted that. Now the next step is moving in, keeping yourself occupied and trying to avoid places he goes to. The place you were the night you saw him for example, he goes to that place too so try to avoid it. It was also a wise move to remove him from your FB and such, now you won't have to see any updates or hear any news of him, so it'll make it easier for you to move on this way in the long run.
Trust me, you'll completely get over it soon enough. He wasn't worth your time, there's way better guys out there, and it's his loss.
