The girl... -
March 6th 2011, 02:25 AM
The girl I like.
Well, I thought she'd plain forgotten all about me. For the past month, she's been sitting around me, talking to me. As I've never (fourteen years: count 'em) had a girlfriend or boyfriend either one, the whole thing confuses me a bit. I can't tell whether she likes me or not, so I'm going to tell you guys why I think she might, and let you more experianced folk give me a heads or tails to this question, and a bit of advice, too, if you don't mind. I'll try to remain as indifferent and unattached to the story as I can, to present facts, not fiction according to what my mind wants to think. And as I'm pretty sure you guys will ask it: Yes, she is most definately Bi. Had a girlfriend a few months ago, but is single now. I heard it from my crush herself. So, she started talking to me again about a month ago, when the semester changed, right? I told her I wasn't taking Spektrum because I didn't think I had room in my schedule, and she told me that I should ask and try to get into it anyway; coincidentally, she was taking that class. We sat on the bus a few times together, and each time she was a very attentive listener and a very interesting conversationalist (lol, me and the big words). Once, she left her best friend to come up and sit beside me on the bus. Okay, so in the past week, we spent all our time on the bus together, as well as some time before first bell. Basically, it was fun. We talked and laughed and I had a great time. So the next day, I come to school. We sit together on the bus again; right after thing where a lot of us kids went to go pray for a girl that had been injured in a car wreck and was having surgery, she touched me on the arm (in the middle of the crowd!) and smiled at me, and asked how I was doing. Then yesterday, I curled my hair and made a point to wear nice clothes, mostly because -- not to sound vain or anything -- I just wanted to look in the mirror and be proud of myself, not really to impress anyone in particular. Angel (the girl) didn't sit beside me that morning on the bus. However, at lunch hour, one of her friends opened the front door for me (I'd been outside strolling the sidewalk with another friend I'll call H), and I slipped in, thanked Angel's friend, and went to walk across the lobby toward the stairs. Angel catches hold of my arm -- gently; I've never known her to hurt any of her friends, anyway -- looks me over from head to toe, and pronounces me pretty in front of all of her friends, serious as ever; I mean, I can't put my finger on the attitude she used when she said it; sort of a cross between serious and (dare I say it!) pleased. As H was annoyed at me and hurriedly walking in the other direction, I had to leave and try to console H a bit, and I felt slightly stupid at having to leave so quickly, but I don't think Angel minded. She's not the type to mind much. So now I'm all confused. This girl is literally my polar opposite in every thing except for music, yet she still manages to be one of the nicest, most confident people I've ever met in my entire life. I'd like for her to like me, and I think she might, but I'm not really sure. She told me just the other day that she likes to flirt with people, because it makes her feel good, though she promptly apologized for sounding, as she put it, like a w****. One thing you'll learn about her after a short time is that she's honest, and she is who she is, whether you or anyone else likes it or not. And it's a good thing. ![]() Spring fever. I guess I'm just as lovesick as everyone else. |
