Cheap Date Ideas - March 29th 2011, 01:09 AM

So my friend and her boyfriend are going through a bit of a crisis. He is a typical man who wants to feel in charge, drive the car, pay for the date, have the ideas, ext. Problem is, he has no car and he has no money. He just can't afford to do all this, but she wants to go out and do things instead of sit at home, watch TV, and sleep. So, here's where I step in. I need cheap, go out to date ideas that I can tell him to do, and pretty much save a relationship before she gets her heart broken days before prom.
._.

Help? I'm clueless. My boyfriend and I don't have this problem, as he's come to accept the fact that I'll always drive and insist on paying for my half

Take me seriously.
I dare you.

Rather than going to an expensive restaurant, buy some ingredients from the grocery store and learn how to follow a recipe. =D

If he's unwilling to learn how to cook, he can make some sandwiches, grab a blanket or two, and walk with his girlfriend to the nearest park for a picnic. =)

My boyfriend and I are awesome at cheep date ideas, just because we're saving up most of our money. The picnic is a fantastic idea, as is cooking together. Activities that actually get you involved/learning something new is always fun. Go to the local library and find a cool craft book and try some ideas out of it, or go for a bike ride, or once the weather warms up try hiking, or a walk through a park. Sometimes a zoo near you might have discounted days, so look into that because that's a great way to kill a whole day. Some museums have free admission to the public, so that could also be fun. Have a movie marathon, complete with homemade snacks and popcorn, try to make it feel like the movies. Go on an adventure, start out just walking and see where it takes you! That's all I have for now but I hope I helped a little
